Unable to print Adobe pdf files in Safari

When an Adobe Reader pdf file comes up in Safari & I select Print, will see a blank item to print in the print window. In Firefox & Chrome I have no problem printing pdf files. Currently my iMac is running High Sierra & I have the most recent version of the free Adobe Reader (build 17.12.20098.240878) for the Mac. Thought that maybe with High Sierra & the newest version of Adobe Reader the problem might have been solved. Not the case. This has been an issue with me for several years now. I have searched this question and found the problem mentioned a few years back but the solutions offered did not correct my situation. Would like to avoid having to launch Firefox just to be able to print a single pdf file so any help with this issue would be appreciated.

Thanks, fixed my issue. I deleted three adobe plugins (Adobe workgroup Plugin, AdobePDFViewer.plugin & AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin) from /library/Internet Plugins/. Can now print the pdf files from Safari. Probably just deleting the AdobePDFView plugin would have done the trick.

Thanks for reminding me about those Adobe plug-ins being replaced whenever the Reader is updated, which is quite frequently. To avoid that, I just went ahead and deleted Adobe Reader altogether so long as Safari will bring up & print online PDF files alone. For the rare occasion I may need Adobe Reader for some other reason I'll just reinstall it as needed.
