iMovie: Devanagari font autocorrects accent mark to wrong spelling

Where: iMovie\ Titles

When: While Using Devanagari (a script used for Hindi/Marathi/Sanskrit languages)

What wrong: As soon as you get out of Title edit mode, the word changes to a wrong spelling as the accent marks automatically moves around.

Steps to recreate:

1. Change to Devanagari-QUERTY keyboard
2. Click on the Title to select the text box.
3. Type n i shift+l a ( I entered the word which means 'blue' in Marathi. )
4. Click outside the text box, notice the problem.

Problem: changes to some weird arrangement of the accent mark. It happens with accent mark (type i on Devanagari-QWERTY keyboad)

Tried with different Keyboards on Mac. Tried to get the word from Google Translate.
