Unable to import AVCHD (BMDV) movies to photos app since High Sierra update

I just tested moving my videos from my Canon T3 SD card to photos and no issue here.

I see the same you are seeing.

I see High Sierra 10.13.2 is now in its sixth beta release with full release expected before the end of the year. Let's hope there's something in there.

Well, that jinxed that. Installed 10.13.2 today and no change.

I had to import the files from my SD card using the using the import option in iPhoto.

Need to bump this to the top as it's also affecting my workflow. When are you going to fix this Apple?

When are you going to realise you're not talking to Apple?

Movs are not AVCHD, and that's more likely an issue with the card in the camera, at a guess. Try reformat it.

The older iPhoto to import these video files worked for me and others. Read my post and some others on this subject recently. It probably is not the card.
