How to remove recent apps from iOS 11 dock?

On iOS 11 I do not want to have any apps show up as recently used. I switched the functionality of in "General > Multitasking > Dock" (see German screenshot below, pic 2), Siri and Facebook. Still there is this annoying Facebook icon in the area of the recently used apps with a clock badge (pic 1).

How to get rid of it?
