iMessage on High Sierra out of sync with iOS 11.0.2 iMessage

Has anyone else found that, now they've updated to mac OS High Sierra (10.13) and iOS 11.0.2, that iMessage is totally out-of-sync between the two platforms?

iMessage on High Sierra seems to be way behind, or just not getting the messages at all that are showing up on iPhone, WiFi iPad and watch.

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Hi,

In your case I would restart from scratch.

Remove (Sign Out) on the iPhone of the Apple ID.

Disable the app on the iPhone (It signs the Number out)

On the Mac untick the iPhone Number option.

Sign Out of the Apple ID.

Then turn the iPhone App on again and wait for the number to verify.

Add the Apple ID back to the Mac version.

Test by starting an New Message on the Mac and manually type in the iPhone Number including Country Code.

If that works make sure the Mac and iPhone are on the same LAN.

Add the Apple ID back to the iPhone for Messages.

Accept the pop up on the Mac so it has the iPhone Number again.

IF on the Same LAN then set Text Forwarding.

Hi,

Restrict the Mac version to just using the Apple ID.

Set the opposite on the iPhone so it is only using the iPhone Number.

On the Mac manually type in the whole iPhone Number including Country Code.

Send an iMessage.

If the iPhone does not get it then the Mac version is Not logged in.

If it not then you need this When the iMessages account will not Login

Phoning Apple Support can be long winded and time consuming. You have to work up the different layers of support until someone can check the Server and see if your Apple ID login used from that Mac is blocked. (The use of the Serial Number as part of th Login makes it Device Specific).

Oh good, finally found a thread that suggests that they're having the same issue!

I didn't have this issue when my iPhone was on iOS 11, and my Mac was on Sierra, but now on High Sierra, my Mac receives the messages, usually out of order (literally displaying all replies of theirs above all my replies) and since the Mac is delayed... my iPhone and Apple Watch are receiving the message notifications like I've missed them.

I've tried logging in and out of iMessage on the iPhone and Mac, no change. Very frustrating, and definitely noticing the continual iMessage notifications, that should be handled by the Mac I am at, taking a toll on my Apple Watch's battery life.
