Hi,
the fans of my mid 2016 macbook pro spin at max if I am watching youtube videos.
Have tried everything from reinstall the system, or smc reset but still no solution.
Any advice?

I am still working on this issue...
What was done so far:
- SMC reset
- System reinstall (high sierra)
- Hardware test at an authorized store (not apple) - even the girl from there could not believe that such machine has to use the fans at full throttle with youtube videos.
Maybe the mac cannot handle too many scripts running.After investigating a bit seems like the system will assign each available core to handle each chrome tab:
How can we avoid this? Or how can we configure/adjust chrome settings?
Am I the only one with this issue?
and normally when looking at the activity monitor, the process using more cpu is the kernel_task.

See what the temps are before and during YouTube videos:

35C when booting and fans working normally at 2156 rpm
Opened 5 youtube video tabs playing the videos, and went up to 70 C and fans are at 5804 rpm
Is it true that the system will assign each chrome tab to each cpu core available? does that maybe make it too hot?
Temps/fans normal before.
I've never tried playing five videos before as I can watch only one, so I don't know if that's normal or not. If you post the five videos I'll try it though, on Safari. Why do you use Chrome?

As soon I start chrome it start to warm up very much, and btw, every chrome extension will count as a process for the CPU... also detected that onedrive for mac also makes it warm too much.
I have to find a solution to have chrome back; I am used to it, it is faster, I can translate any page with right click, login with my gmail account, sync all my stuff between different machines and all that chrome offers.

I use chrome because Ive always used and have all my setup there - I will try safari
I played five for about 15 minutes and zero change in temp or fans.
I have to wonder if Chrome is the issue.

Ive read somewhere that chrome tabs will use as many cores available as the cpu has. maybe it is true..

Well, that tells you that Chrome is the issue. It is a known resource hog. Sorry, but I don't/won't use it, so I can't help you with troubleshooting it.
I think I solved the issue .. by downgrading to Sierra.
Everything went back to normal. I am now using chrome as daily browser
