Output volume mute greyed out and no sound

Hi,


I have a 2013 Macbook Pro Retina. It was working perfectly this morning. I am not getting any volume at all. I have tried resetting the PRAM and SMC. There is no red light in the headphone jack. I have also tried putting in a set of headphones and removing it but still nothing. I hear the chime at start up but I cannot hear anything else. User uploaded file

This is the sound settings. The mute is greyed out.

I am not sure what to do.


Please help

I got it working. I clicked the settings icon on the left in and selected "use this device for sound output". Thanks 🙂
