Linking Movies Anywhere locks out new Disney iTunes digital code redemptions

After linking iTunes to the new Movies Anywhere web site, NO NEW Disney/Marvel iTunes digital redemption codes can be entered at iTunes. The digital movie code must be entered at Movies Anywhere. It appears as if Disney is forcing us to use UltraViolet for all new redemptions of Disney digital codes found in DVD, Blu-ray and 4K purchases.

After a new redemption at Movies Anywhere, the Disney title does NOT appear in iTunes. It does appear in VUDO.

Only the existing Disney films in my iTunes library continue to appear in iTunes and can be played in Movies Anywhere and VUDO.

A 20th Century Fox film was able to be redeemed today in iTunes and appeared in iTunes, Movies Anywhere and VUDO.

Is this the new normal, or is something wrong with Movies Anywhere and/or my iTunes account?
