Thank you, that was not the solution to the problem. The problem was that there is no repeat button due to bad design by Apple. Turns out you have to “pull up” the album view in order to make the Repeat button visible. Impossible to figure out unless you know it and took me an hour to figure out.
This is on an iPhone SE running iOS 11.
It is simple. Scroll up on the page where you used to see shuffle and repeat. It is hidden underneath. It’s a bad design. It is more straightforward if you pay for Apple Music. Take that for what it’s worth...
Shuffle songs
Tap
to set Music to always shuffle a list of songs selected. Any album, playlist, or set of songs will play in a random order.
When shuffle is on, you'll see
. To turn it off, tap the button until you see
Repeat songs
Tap
once to turn on repeat for an entire playlist or album. Tap
again to turn on repeat for one song. Tap
a third time to clear the repeat.
