Apple Watch 3 gps won’t work with the Golfshot Pro app.

Hello there, I have recently purchased an Apple 3 watch and am try to use it with an app called Golfshot Pro. With Apple watch 2 you could turn Bluetooth off and utilise the GPS in the watch.

If I turn Bluetooth off with my Apple 3 watch, the app does not engage the watches own GPS, it just fails to function.
