Safari freezing entire computer

Good morning!

Safari is freezing the entire system when playing some videos, like Netflix. Doesn't happen on most of the sites, like YouTube. It doesn't happen with Chrome or Firefox either. Didn't happen on 10.12.6.

I have to turn it off and on again the computer.

Things I've tried: installing Silverlight. Apparently, it wasn't installed. It didn't help, however.

I'm on 10.13. All updates are installed.

You can try restarting the computer, or resetting the PRAM. These articles would help you. Your System Management Controller might have went wrong because it seems as the internet is slow.
