iPhone SE iOS 11.0.2 landscape lockscreen doesn't work

Since updating my iPhone SE to iOS 11.0.2 I can't lock the screen in landscape mode. It just jumps back to portrait mode, in any application (photos, email etc). Can anyone tell me if for sure if this an iOS 11.0.2 software bug or a prob with my 'phone (which is still under guarantee)?

iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Update: ios11.0.3 seems to have made some improvements to the way I’m seeing orientation lock work- so that in photos, by rotating my phone to landscape and then another quarter turn, the photo is now staying put in landscape mode without engaging screen lock. Same in notes & email. Similarly the image will automatically stay upside down when the phone is rotated to upside down but then if the phone is rotated to a quarter turn to landscape the image still flips back to landscape so although in some ways the improvement is really handy- ie no need to use the screen lock to change view from vertical to horizontal, I’d still prefer the option to lock the screen orientation as well so I can view artwork from any angle in my choice of orientation.

(Might cancel my appointment with apple now.)

Thanks, but knowing how you access orientation lock for landscape mode on your iPhone 7 is of little use to me, as mine is as I said, an iphone SE! Even if your suggestion to use assistive touch worked, I wouldn’t want an annoying blob on my screen when Im looking at photos. Yes I’ve restarted and upgraded to 11.0.3 now. It still doesn’t work. I’ve spoken to a senior advisor in apple and made an appointment with apple.
