Adding a keyboard layout to Mac OS 7

Unfortunately, a Czech layout does not appear to be part of Apple's Multi Country keyboard layouts, nor of a keyboard layout collection at Info-Mac (https://archive.info-mac.org/_Configuration/). Do you possibly have access to any disk, such as a disk tools floppy, containing a Czech system folder (even a different 7.x version)? If so, you may be able to find an appropriate layout file inside the System suitcase of that disk.

You could possibly check whether an old disk tools address (download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/Czech/Macint osh/System/System_7.0.1/CZ-7.0.1-Disk_Tools.image.sea.bin) is working.

I was about to suggest a contact with an Apple user group (http://appleusergroupresources.com/find-a-group/) in the Czech Republic, but noticed that only the neighbouring country Slovakia appears to have one (http://kmug.sk/). Perhaps someone there could help you with a similar keyboard layout. BTW, a CZ System 7.0.1 version has been available from Apple.

Generally speaking, it may be worth mentioning that the very keyboard layout chosen via the control panel (of an active system) is invisible as a file if one opens the System suitcase (inside the system folder). In order to make a certain keyboard layout file visible in the System suitcase, another layout must be temporarily chosen.

Some addresses noted earlier appear to be working even today. For a CZ System 7.0.1, you may want to investigate whether, for example, download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/Czech/Macinto sh/System/System_7.0.1/CZ-7.0.1-Install_1.image.sea.bin is still active (other files were CZ-7.0.1-Install_2.image.sea.bin, CZ-7.0.1-Fonts.image.sea.bin, CZ-7.0.1-More_Fonts.image.sea.bin, CZ-7.0.1-Printing.image.sea.bin and CZ-7.0.1-Tidbits.image.sea.bin).
