Just found out that when I'm connect to my external display (via thunder bolt / mini display port to HDMI) with Macbook Pro, Safari starts to show black boxes on some area where there are some rasters images. I also seen this problem with Numbers app. Here is an sample screen shots:
Safari shows black boxes while chrome doesn't.
Please help/guide me to solve this problem.

When I changed my external display profile from HD 709-A to DELL S2340L the black box bug is gone. But colours are bit brighter... I like the darker depth of colours from HD 709-A profile... Anyway, this is a good workaround but this bug needs to be fixed.
It happens to me with the internal display (13 in late 2011 MBP.) Whatever it is, it has to do with ICC profiles; it only happens when my custom ICC profile is loaded, and goes away if I use the default "LCD color" profile.
So it seems that High Sierra breaks color management... from what I've seen on the web, on HD3000-equipped Macs.
I have the exact same issue after upgrading to High Sierra. It's particularly noticeable when browsing Wikipedia.
And it happens in the Mail app as well, black boxes all over my messages.
Were you able to find a fix?
No, until now it is not fixed... I have reported it on bug reporter... apple engineering has requested a macOS sysdiagnose which I have posted 5 days ago with no replies from them. so, I'm still waiting...

Thank you so much, that solved my problem as well (I changed from HD 709 to LG IPS HD in my case).
Either way, we shouldn't have to do this, it's clearly a bug... I hope someone will look into it.
finger crossed... I agree with you... this is clearly a bug.
I have had a white window appear on Safari in Sierra and in High Sierra I am seeing it too. It is a window with data from my address book? Close Safari and reopen and its gone but it comes back regualrly when I have to enter data on a website - it appears over the data line I am entering to.
Any advice or is this the same bug?
