You need to use some default values, instead of typing 'N' or 'Y'. For example the MBR Hexcode should be the default as shown by the utility, instead of typing 'N'.
Since you use the same values as defaults, please continue.
Alright, so now just reboot my mac?
And to quit out of terminal, do I just force quit it or use a command to quit terminal?
A Reboot will also close the terminal.
Okay, I'm going to reboot my mac.
Insert your W8.1 DVD, and reboot your Mac and hold Alt/Option key. From the visible DVD icons select the one that is called Windows. Do not choose anything else.
Okay.
Did you choose the correct BOOTCAMP partition before you got to this screen?
Yes, please click on Format and the Next button should be enabled.
Okay, just did, now on the Installing Windows screen. It's loading.
Good to see it proceeding without any issues so far.
Hmm, when it says the computer is going to restart, it just restarts into macOS and doesn't restart into Windows. When I boot back into windows, I have to do the whole install process again.
Okay, nevermind. I'm on the Windows desktop now. How do I install the drivers now?
Oh my gosh! Everything works now! Thank you so much! But one question, do I need my DVD with Windows 8.1 on it to boot into Windows or I don't need it?
No sound on 27 inch iMac Mid 2011 running Windows 8.1 on Botcamp
