download apples bootcamp driver zip
Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5640
and install the audio driver for the audio chipset / I recall it being cirrus logic
Either one will work, as long as your are able to burn it successfully. Please also see Re: BootCamp "Installer disc could not be found", with ISO DVD.
See step 4 in Enable Bootcamp to install from usb for OSX 10.9**WORKS** . You may also need to use the --deep qualifier.
Very unlikely. iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011) - Technical Specifications has the AMD GPUs. Let us try and install Windows and see if we can address the Audio issue.
Hello! Thanks for the reply! Could you please lease show me step by step on how to do the that? I'm not that tech savvy. Thanks!
Sure, I'll check that's info when I get home today. The version of macOS I'm not sure but I know there is a 12 and a 6 in it and it's not high sierra. Thanks!
Stay away from High Sierra, if you can. I highly recommend backups on a regular basis.
Yeah, I heard it's not that good. I'll be home in about 8 hours then I'll tell you the result from the msinfo32
So are you saying to boot into BIOS? How do I do that? And also, what happens if it is UEFI? If it is, does it mean I have to live without the sound?
And yes, my optical-drive works. Isn't that the CD slot on the side of my mac?
Okay, what do I do after that? Do I install windows just like installing it on a USB but it's a disk?
Do you know if anyone has a YouTube video that shows you how to install with a DVD? I'm only used to download it on a USB drive.
Hello! I just searched through my DVD pile and found 2 DVD types : DVD + R DL and DVD - R. Will these work? I don't have any DVD-R SL's though.
No sound on 27 inch iMac Mid 2011 running Windows 8.1 on Botcamp
