Java's rt.jar?

dafydd% java -version
java version "1.5.0_06"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_06-112)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_06-64, mixed mode, sharing)

I downloaded a Java application ( http://www.lggwg.com/) that is looking for rt.jar. So far as I can tell, the application developer is under the assumption that rt.jar is a basic Java binary that is available for all platforms/versions. (I haven't heard back with a confirmation of this, yet.)

I've found the Java directory:

/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions

with the link to 1.5.0. However, I have yet to find any rt.jar anywhere in that structure.

Any Mac Java gurus out there with any hints?

Thanks!

What would be rt.jar on any other platform has been split out by Apple into classes.jar and ui.jar, located in the /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.5.0/Classes/ directory.

So, I guess the question is, what part of the app is failing? If it is just that rt.jar is being added to the CLASSPATH, replace it with classes.jar and ui.jar. If there is a wrapper script explicitly testing to see if rt.jar is present, comment out that section of code.
