When I reset my iPad the tool bar at the bottom disappears when I go from portrait to landscape is this a grinch or solvable

Hello, Have you tried just flicking up from the bottom with your thumb?

I spoke to Apple Support at length yesterday. They had me turn off the ipad and then turn it back on again. This temporarily solved the problem, waiting for it to come back. Images below (1st missing entirely - landscape, 2nd shows issue - portrait)

If they didn’t Beta test and this was some sort of glitch due to not testing, EVERYONE would have this problem. I do not have this issue, so there is something going on and I’m not sure what, but obviously things were tested and this didn’t show up during the testing or it would have been fixed. If you would like for Apple to see your problem, you can go to Apple’s feedback page and tell them the problem you are having. You can do that here, as Apple does not view or respond to the conversations on these pages.

Same problems. Swiping up doesn’t bring the dock back...resetting resolves but what a pain in the ***!

I have this same problem. Then on other occasions the bar appears in the middle of my screen and I can‘t get rid of it or move it to see what I am working on. I have tried flicking the bottom of the screen but it doesn’t come up. I hope this is fixed in the next update!

I’m having the same issue on an iPad Air. I did a soft reset and it didn’t help. In landscape, bar disappears. In portrait, it reappears but too high and shifted left (blocks part of bottom row of icons).

To get the bottom taskbar back in landscape go to Display & Brightness and check Bold Text to on, restart your iPad and the taskbar should now be there. Go through the same steps to turn the Bold Text off and hopefully after restarting your iPad the taskbar will still be where it should be.

I have this problem also. Disappears, then shows up in the middle, and sometimes I do get the entire bar back but its smaller and doesn't go across the entire screen. Then all of a sudden it will fix itself.

My better half bought a brand new 10.5” ipad pro, activated it with restore of older ipad backup via itunes

and two days later started exhibiting this behavior

power off restart fixed it for a while but recurred several times so far (daily)

our other ios devices (2 iphones and large ipad pro orig) do not have this issue (yet)

all are up to date

praying this is not a hardware issue

I have a new iPad and my bottom menu bar is missing when landscape and in portrait it is too high and runs off the left side. The above suggestion didn’t resolve the issue. Hoping someone can!

Doesn’t work. Have to turn off then back on for it to appear. However it goes away again.

This didn’t help as it still continues to disappear. When is Apple going to fix? I see that I am not the only person with this situation.
