How can I verify graphics card specs?

I've just received an update alert for a 64-bit version of SketchUp Pro 2017. The hardware requirements include:

"3D-class video card with 512MB of memory or higher and supports hardware acceleration. Please ensure that the video card driver supports OpenGL version 3.0 or higher and up to date."

My mid-2010 iMac has an ATI Radeon HD 5670 512Mb graphics card. I looked on the ATI website but I can't confirm that my card meets the quoted requirements. Does anyone know whether the card I have is "3D-class", etc.?

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), 27" 3.2Gz 8Mb RAM

You might check this site (don't know if this is your model, but you didn't provide enough details):

Your best bet to find out would be either ifixit.com or go to your nearest Apple store or AASP - a technician should know.

Although this is not my area of expertise, I would guess/suggest that an i3 processor and accompanying logic board/graphics card from 2010 would most likely not meet the specs of a software/app from 2017.

Robert,

Mac OS is unlike Windows where you have to download drivers. For your iMac simple check for updates in the Mac App store and if any are required then they will download.

However if you want to verify what hardware is installed in your computer use Spotlight to open System Information (also available from the About this Mac window) and you can locate the hardware installed on your system.

For more detailed information you will need to contact the software developers of the app, let them know what system you have and more importantly which version of Mac OS is installed and see if they support it.
