Motorola Roadster2 quit after ios 11 update

iPhone 6 using the Motorola Roadster 2 hands-free bluetooth speaker phone (model TZ710) worked perfectly until I allowed the ios 11 update. Now it frequently disconnects and the voice dial quit working completely.

It accepts incoming calls okay. Is there going to be an update to fix this?

iPhone 6, iOS 11.0.3

Hi johnkj1956,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand that since updating to iOS 11 you're having trouble with your Motorola Roadster Bluetooth speaker staying connected as well as being able to use certain features. I know it's important to stay connected to your accessories and I'd like to help. I'd recommend working through the steps below and testing your device for the behavior you mention after each:
  1. Make sure that your Bluetooth accessory and iOS device are close to each other.
  2. Check that your Bluetooth accessory is on and fully charged or connected to power. If your accessory uses batteries, see if they need to be replaced.
  3. Restart your Bluetooth accessory.
  4. Make sure that your iOS device is up to date.
  5. On your iOS device, go to Settings > Bluetooth and make sure that Bluetooth is on. If you can’t turn on Bluetooth or you see a spinning gear, restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  6. Unpair the Bluetooth accessory, put it back in discovery mode, then pair and connect it again.

If you still can't pair or connect your Bluetooth accessory

  1. If you can pair your accessory with some devices but not your iOS device, unpair the accessory from one of the other devices. Then try to pair with your iOS device again.
  2. Check with the accessory manufacturer to make sure that your accessory supports your iOS device.
  3. If you have any of these issues, contact Apple Support:
    • You can’t turn on Bluetooth or the setting is grayed out.
    • You can’t connect any Bluetooth accessories with your device.
    • The accessory manufacturer confirmed that your accessory is working correctly.
If you can‘t connect a Bluetooth accessory to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Best Regards.

I purchased an iPhone 6s for my father that is having the exact same problem. Apple support could not figure out how to get calls to dial out using the Moto TZ710 although we could receive calls.

Has anyone figured out how to originate calls out of the Moto TZ710 with ios 11.x iPhone 6s ?

In this case if we can't make it work, we will return the iPhone and purchase another phone.

Do the TZ710's work with any other Apple iPhones?
