What wavelength is FaceID using and what is the power output
Hi,
does anyone know what is the exact wavelength and power output Faceid uses? I am kinda afraid about letting some unknown invisible, even though infrared, rays in my eyes...

You will need to contact Apple for specific information.

To be able to see, you need light. Infrared are also light that's out of our scope.
Infrared light extends from the nominal red edge of the visible spectrum at 700 nanometers (frequency 430 THz), to 1 mm (300 GHz)
I don't think you have anything to worry about.
BTW, it's not out yet.
Thanks for the answer. 🙂 But I can use a laser (or other very powerful light) to blind you. But when you see such light, you can close your eyes. If I used either ultraviolet or infrared light, then you won't know you are being blinded until it is too late. So I would like to know how powerful will the light be, or if it will be possible to change its intensity. Yes, i am probably a bit paranoid... 😀
