And is not MFI certified for use with an Apple, have you actually tried it, or do you not care whether or not it will work?
To the OP, don't mess around with this junk, buy an adaptor from Apple.
There are not a lot of companies who make this product. Apple makes one and otherwise, I would trust the reviews on Amazon. I see one by EasternPin that looks promising. If you can find one by Insignia or Belkin I would get that one.
There are two of them. I was talking about this one: Amazon.com: Lighting to HDMI, Lighting to HDMI Adapter, Lightning Digital AV Adapter, with Lightning Charging Port, Comp…. It has 93% 5 star ratings.
Diana, et al - I had a connector in my checkout made by Digiplus - oddly it did not reappear in a listing For further review. However Eastern Pin did and at exactly the same cost As Digiplus. Further, Eastern Pin showed up three times at declining prices from $40 to $20. I read reviews of the six best. While the $40 EP had swell reviews I yield to the advice to stay with the manufacturer. So Apple it is and thanks to all.
Did you actually read the reviews for the EasternPin cable, I hope that the OP does.
My only (and real) issue with the EP, is the lack of certification. Without it there is zero recourse if it does not work. Maybe it will and maybe it won't, but Apples definitely will.
