American iPhone in Switzerland
Hi Guys
Im going to NY this Christmas and im looking into buying an iPhone X. Now heres my question: If I buy an iPhone X in the US will I be able to use it with a Swiss SIM card? What do I have to look out for?
There is no sim free model version of the X announced yet. Such a model would be the best option if it becomes available.
All that is available are carrier-branded versions.
Verizon phones are unlocked but if you encounter any issues activating in Switzerland there is very little recourse. Should you be able to initially activate it with a Verizon sim in the United States it will work properly in Switzerland.
The Apple warranty will not apply outside the country of purchase.
