iphone ios11 ipod app wont stop shuffling

I need help. I cannot get my ipod app to stop shuffling my music. I dknt remember turning it on but its been months now and i need it turned off. I dont see any setting or anything other than a shuffle button which only seems to send me off to the next shuffled song rather than simply turn off shuffling. I remember a time when i could listen to an album straight through. Its a crazy world where i can get a gun easier than to listen to Pink Floyd’s The Wall front to back. Please someone help before i go Comfortably Numb. Patiently waiting for the worms, Apple User

iPod app on iPhone? I’m assuming you mean the Music app.

Tu turn Shuffle (or Repeat) off, tap on the currently selected song. It’s at the bottom of the playlist or album view screen. This will take you to the Now Playing screen. Scroll up until you see the buttons below.

You’re welcome.

I see many others hitting the same stumbling block. It’s just not intuitive to scroll that screen up. I think it’s because of the down arrow at the top of that screen.

You won't get a reply, but Apple reads and catalogs all feedback.

All it wants to do is shuffle. I just found out if i press the play button it will instantly progress to the next song. But after the song plays through the next song is automatically a shuffle and not the bext song in line. Any other otherwise it just wants to shuffle. If i press the double arrow to go to the next song it shuffles. If i press shuffle it shuffles. ??? Finding myself very annoyed at apple right now. I dont own any album that i dont enjoy listening to from end to end but i cant even do that anymore it seems. I am very sad.

Wow, just wow. Thank you so much. You are correct, as you know. If it didnt seem i am the only person in the world with this issue i would suggest that apple people looking at this suggest to someone else up the line that they use a small icon to indicate there is more to the screen they are viewing. I had no idea there was more to see below. Thank you again Rysz.
