latency issues on logic pro x after high sierra upgrade

Since upgrading to High Sierra (from Sierra), I've experienced small latency issues on all my software and audio inputs in Logic Pro X (latest version). It occurs regardless of input. I'm not sure what is causing it, or what to do about it. Any suggestions appreciated!

Been several similar complaints on this board... those that backed up downgraded to Sierra and the problem was solved, those that didn't back up and are having the problem are suffering through it.

You can try these steps one at a time or in combinations.

In Logic's Preferences/Audio:

Make sure Multithreading is set to "Playback Tracks"

Under Processing threads, under the drop-down menu, set it to half the maximum number of threads.

So, if you have 4, set it to Two.

In Applications with Logic not running, use Get Info on the Logic Application.. I believe there's a setting for running Logic in Lo-Res mode, try it.

Let us know is any of these changes anything.

Check all of the Inspector settings in the older projects. There's a lot of parameter settings that may change.

Also, Logic's preferences are global, they should affect all project, however Logic's Settings are project specific so you might look into those. Just to be sure... check Logic's Preferences "Recording Delay" make sure it's set to Zero - dead center position.

Are there any certain plugins in the old projects that may not be interacting well with HS?

Thanks, Pancenter, for the helpful advice. It's going to take awhile to check all these possibilities. A couple of plug-ins no longer load and don't have updates yet, and I have used them on older projects, so I'll work through those. Recording delay is fine. Inspector settings will be a challenge. This happened to me once before, on an update to 10.11, and disappeared around 10.11.2, so maybe a future version of HS will solve the issue. I'll also check if I can reproduce the problem on another DAW.
