What is a .AAE file?
Using Image Capture, I imported photos from iOS 11.0.2 to OSX 10.11.3 ElCapitan.
15 photos were in .AAE format, such as IMG_ 0053.AAE
The file looks like a HTM file with these words in text:
!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC
adjustmentBaseVersion
adjustmentData
They are dated from February of 2014. I plan to store my photos on an iMac in folders. What are these files and how are they used?
OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), Late 2015 iMac.
