updated to High Sierra, now this message appears at startup: Do you want the application “EEventManager.app” to accept incoming network connections?

My spouse updated to high sierra last weekend. Ever ever since, I get this message at startup:

I searched online for suggestions about how to make this stop, and learned it has something to do with an Epson printer/scanner. We have not had an Epson printer for several years. One suggestion was to delete it in Event Manager. When I open Event Manager, I get this:

When I click on OK, the whole box disappears.

I welcome suggestions on how to make the startup message go away.
