Calendar App Icon Shows Wrong Date
This issue is ongoing from macOS Sierra and continues in High Sierra:
The calendar app icon is stuck on "Jul 17" in Launchpad.
"Set time zone automatically using current location" is checked. Most up-to-date High Sierra is installed.
Previously in Sierra, the workaround would be to go to settings, click on Date & Time and then on the Time Zone tab, wait for the pin to drop again and then the icon would show the correct date. This does not work in High Sierra. Interestingly though, if you leave the computer on past midnight, i.e. when it turns to the next day, the app will change from Jul 17 to the correct date. Turn the computer off again however and we're back to square one.
Obviously, this little glitch is not a big deal, just an observation and more annoying than anything else.
