I was checking the space in my mac and I found out a lot of space was been taking up by some zz folder, I checked and is from time machine but I don't have it on, I wanted to know if i could delete them

If you are talking about the /private/var/folders/zz then read this artticle

It is part of the system, it contains info your Mac needs to run. You can delete them if you want, BUT you might be compromising yourself.
