How to increase glance view time?

I need to increase the amount of time the watch stays active after turning my wrist. When I’m riding my bike and I rotate my wrist to wake up the screen, by the time I move my other hand off of the handelbar to touch the watch, the screen goes dark. Is there any way to increase the screen wake time?

Hi

No, there is no option for increasing the length of time for which the display remains awake after just raising your wrist, to avoid the issue that you have described.

When waking the screen by raising your wrist (with that setting enabled), the screen will stay awake for a few seconds without further interaction.

The display can also be set to stay awake for up to either 15 or 70 seconds. However, this only applies when the screen is tapped on to wake it or when it is tapped on after being woken by raising your wrist.

To set your preferred wake duration when tapping the screen:

On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > Wake Screen - under On Tap, select Wake for 15 or 70 Seconds.
