Can't access Mac files from bootcamp

Hi,

I can't access my mac files from bootcamp (windows 10) or either restart from bootcamp icon in the task bar. The following error appears: User uploaded file

Any help?

Thanks

On the Windows side, only HFS partitions can be made visible using a BC6.0 driver. It is no longer supported in BC6.1 and higher.

In your case, since you have an APFS container, which contains the Macintosh HD, there is no BC driver to read Macintosh HD inside the container.

Another configuration, on my Mac is,

/dev/disk0 (internal):

#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER

0: GUID_partition_scheme 500.3 GB disk0

1: EFI EFI 314.6 MB disk0s1

2: Apple_CoreStorage Macintosh HD 241.4 GB disk0s2

3: Apple_Boot Recovery HD 650.0 MB disk0s3

4: Microsoft Basic Data BOOTCAMP 258.0 GB disk0s4

/dev/disk1 (internal, virtual):

#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER

0: Apple_HFS Macintosh HD +241.0 GB disk1

Logical Volume on disk0s2

0609ED7D-CB4A-4487-A795-E11C468882A5

Unlocked Encrypted

/dev/disk2 (external, physical):

#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER

0: GUID_partition_scheme *250.1 GB disk2

1: EFI EFI 209.7 MB disk2s1

2: Apple_HFS T3-TS-HFS 148.2 GB disk2s2

3: Apple_HFS T3-HighSierra 63.1 GB disk2s3

4: Apple_Boot Recovery HD 650.0 MB disk2s4

5: Microsoft Basic Data T3FAT 37.6 GB disk2s5

In this, Windows can only read disk2s2 or disk2s5. No other partitions are visible.

in this case(APFS vs Windows 10) compatibility issue, can we use third part sw, like(para - sw ntfs for mac/window) , to fix the problem? If we willing to pay.

That is a question for third-party vendors. Apple has not really provided either CoreStorage or APFS details to the software developers to let them write drivers for it.

It is much simpler to carry an external FAT-formatted disk/SD Card and share files.
