Passcode forgotten (8 failed attempts)

I need to know how to restore to factory settings my old iPad. I want to sell it because I have a new one but I don't remember the passcode (even I did not rememeber there is another password called passcode).

I have the information in my iMac, but I need it to the new iPad, so, how can I do? please help.
