how to transfer sticky notes from an old iMac to a new iMac?

I tried to transfer sticky notes accumulated over the years from my old iMac OS Sierra to the new iMac OS High Sierra from a backup drive in Time Machine, but the Restore button is not working, cab't highlight. Is there any other way I could transfer stickies? Would Migration Assistant work for that?

iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, Late 2015), macOS High Sierra (10.13), Processor 3.1GHz, Memory 16 GB

Migration should work but if it's not working for you the database can be found in Macintosh HD/User/[your account]/~Library/StickiesDatabase

you can migrate it to your other hard drive

from your original drive hold down OPTION to GO>LIBRARY

scroll down to STICKIESDATABASE

hold down OPTION and drag a copy of the file to a folder or desktop, then copy the file to the other drive, same location.

NOTE: In Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra and High Sierra the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

For Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra and High Sierra go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring up this window:

and check the last checkbox in the window.

First I'm trying to find StickiesDatabase on my hard drive and this is what I see under users/my name: Applications, Desktop, Documents, Downloads, cloud Drive x3, Movies, Music, Pictures, Public, Sites. Can't find Library under Users, there is only Library under System but no StickiesDatabase there.

Could't find it in backup drive either.
