Apple Watch 3 elevation data missing

Hi, When tracking workouts like cycling or running with the Apple Watch 3 workout app I see that elevation data is not always recorded and visible in the workout app afterwards. Last Sunday I did a mountainbike Ride with 208 m elevation and it didn’t show in my workout summary. Anyone know why and how to fix it? Since Apple Watch 3 should track elevation it should be in there when using the watch without the phone? I did add it to the metrics for the workout but not in the summary afterwards. Thanks, Joost

Hello, joosthag.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

I understand that your Workout App is not always recording the elevation data. I may be able to help with this. If you haven't already done so, restart your Apple Watch. I would also try to see if you can get a recording in a different location. This link also has some great tips, check it out: Get the most accurate measurements using your Apple Watch If that doesn't help you may want to unpair/pair your Apple Watch again: Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone

Don't worry about your data, when you unpair the Apple Watch, your iPhone will create a backup: Back up your Apple Watch

Let me know if this helps.
