Virus Warning in Facebook App on iPhone

Ever since updating to iOS 11, I've been getting pop-up ads on the Facebook app saying my phone is infected with a virus and that I need a VPN. I know this is spam, but how do I stop it from popping up? Could there actually be a virus on my phone?

NO virus on phone unless it is jailbroken. settings>general>reset>reset network settings & settings>safari>advanced>website data (wait for it to load) - removed website data.

It's a scam. It's an ad from facebook itself. I like to call them 'scamvertisements'.

There are no viruses that can affect an iOS device that has not been jailbroken.

If you would like to stop seeing 'scamvertisements', stop clicking on the links or pages within facebook that result in these scams... or just shut down your facebook account and stop using it altogether.
