air drop not working on high sierra

I just upgraded to High Seirra 10.13 and my airdrop is not working. In the finder it is now listed as domain-airdrop and when i click o nit the message is "“domain-AirDrop” can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found."

I had the same problem and just figured it out. Right click on "domain-AirDrop" and select "Remove from Sidebar." Then go up to the menu bar and select "Finder" and then "Preferences." At the top of the Preferences window, select the "Sidebar" tab. Then check the box that says "AirDrop."

I don't have the word "Domain" in my Air Drop. Have to set my iPhone 7 Plus and my iMac to 'Everybody' and go through the accept procedure every time. High Sierra won't let me set the Mac to Contacts Only. Royal pain I tell you, I'm always dropping pics from my phone to my Mac, and now I have to go through the whole procedure every time. I have had enough dramas with updates, so I won't bother to try fixes, I'll light a candle to the universe. Seems as though it might be just as effective.
