James Bond Intro?

How would you make a James Bond style intro using imovie?

It would be hard to do with iMovie alone.

You could use QuickTime Pro to add the gun barrel matte over your video.

If you're looking for movement of the gun barrel, that's more the territory of Final Cut Express.

No. But I played around with the URL and finally got an image of the famous Bond title shot down the gun barrel.

In this case, I think Roger Moore is Bond.

I'm not quite sure what I did, but when I click on the link now it works. But it didn't the first time.

I wish I could tell you what I did, but I don't remember. Just start deleting bits of the URL until you get something that loads.

that would need a second layer.. and iM doesn't support that natively...

just played around with geethree's Slick10 .. indeed, there's an effect called "MultiTrack" which easiely creates that Bond-look...

add the grafic of a gun-barrel as second layer, set in/outpoints for movement .. done.

except the dropping blood.. that would need some time-consuming cell-painting, or more elaborated tools I possess...

... yepp, I know, would be nicer if my Bond-girls were 20 years older... 😉

.. but that clip was actual "accessible" on my Mac.. leftovers of a DVD of my son's ballett examine last year...- I prefer to use "my" material, violated enough © with the other parts of that clip ...

thanx everyone,

slick 10 seems pretty good, but it costs a bit and im not sure i'd buy it just to make this one video...

although i do hav quicktime pro, how do u use that to add the gun barrel?

Here are Two 'Bond' movies Alex made with iMovie (..don't ask me how!) ..at least, here are the first few minutes of them ..they were shot on photoshoots for Marks & Spencer (..an English department store chain..)

My son did a terrific one ..but I don't have his movie to hand at the moment ..maybe I can put it up here in about a week ..but he didn't tell me, and I didn't ask him, how he did it..
