Using Airbuds, can I mute a conference call with my Apple Watch?

I just bought the airbuds to use with my iPhone 7 while taking business conference calls. I know you can't mute a phone conversation directly with the airbuds but is it possible to do with my Apple Watch; series 1? Trying to figure out how to get the phone out of the equation, minus being present for linking. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Allen for the link. Using those instructions seems to work when ONLY using the watch. But I was actually wondering how to mute on the watch when using Apple AirPods. If I'm on a conference call and only using the watch then the mute button appears on the screen but as soon as the AirPods are activated the mute button on the watch disappears? Any suggestions?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like you want to know how to mute a call you are on using the Apple Watch. I would recommend you read this article, it explains how you can do that and what other features are available.

Adjust call volume. To adjust the speaker volume when talking on Apple Watch, turn the Digital Crown or tap the volume symbols on the screen. Tap the Mute button to mute your end of the call (if you’re listening on a conference call, for example).
