I have a Power Mac G4 Cube 450 which I now need an Apple Studio Display but am uncertain which one will connect directly into the cube without any need for additional connectors. I am assuming it is the 15" M2454, but would like to know if any others will connect directly into the cube.

I believe the item model number is M7928ZM/A for the 15" Studio Display
Both monitors mentioned have only ADC porting (supported by the Cube) so there is no power input on those models, therefore no adaptor. They get power from the ADC video-out port on an ADC-equipped Mac like the Cube.
If NOT used on a Mac with ADC support, ADC monitors require a rather expensive power adaptor and cabling kit. The kits--long discontinued--can sell for as much as a new high-quality flat-panel monitor.

Does the M7649 require the power adapter in order to connect to the Cube?

Thank you for your reply, Allen Jones. I went and purchased the 15" Apple Studio Display, since when I see the advertisements on the G4 Cube, it always pictures the 15" rather than the 17".
