Hello Benakisc,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I understand you'd like to use your iPhone without Touch ID, but you keep receiving setup reminders, and I have some information that may help.

If you navigate to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode, check to see of the switches for iPhone unlock, Apple Pay and iTunes & App Store are turned off. If they already are turned off, try toggling them on and then off again. You may need to add a fingerprint to turn them on, but it can be removed afterward. For more information on adding and removing a fingerprint, have a look at the article below.

Hi Ulexes,

I'm also experiencing this issue and would just also like to express my frustration. I do not want to use touch ID because I do not want to store my fingerprint anywhere (i think that's generally the reason why people don't want to use touch ID). The solution you're suggesting involves exactly that and therefor it's not an option for me. Are there other ways to fix this? It feels like a bug to me.

This happened to me on a brand new iphone after doing a clean setup. I've never used touch ID on any of my other apple devices. Very frustrating to see this now every time i open my settings.

The problem I’m having is that I don’t want to set up Apple Pay. I have toggled Apple Pay button on and off and it doesn’t get rid of the little red 1 on my settings icon telling me to finish setting up my IPad. If I wanted to I would. I don’t. Why is a thing now, Apple? Get rid of it. People don’t like it!!!!
