I ran a TM backup and wiped all the partitions and and ran a restore.

Which brought me back to just on container. I was when I ran bootcamp assistant and installed win10 I ended up with the "spare" partition.

Sorry last post didn’t’ read very well…

I ran a Time Machine backup - Rebooted into internet recovery, wiped all the partitions and and ran a time machine restore.

Which brought me back to just one APFS container.

I ran bootcamp assistant and installed win10 but somehow I ended up with the "spare" partition. Obviously it wasn't called spare initially that evolved after I had tried a number of different thing to try and delete it.
