I had a problem with extremely low volume on my Iphone 6 - SOLVED!.
Other functions like, speaker, bluetooth were OK.
The solution was a big surprise to myself - since I was sure it was SW or a setting somewhere.
I carefully cleaned the little slot in the glas in the frontside of the phone where the sound comes out in normal use. I used a little piece of cotton with a little water/soap for dishwashing - do not soak it in water - did this app 5 times. I then used alcohol - did this app 5 times.
I almost cannot believe the change it did ;o) I had to adjust the volume down again.
So in my case it wasn't SW or settings - but simply dirt (not visible to me) that had to be mechanically remowed.

Apple makes such wonderful phones but they are lacking in one basic feature that is call quality.They should do something about it otherwise the loyal iPhone users will move elsewhere.
Did you try to go to setting and backup and erase all settings?

No factory reset did not work.Got to take it to the service centre.
That’s unfortunate.. please let me know if they replaced it or did something else.
This is not a one off case several iPhone 7 users have complained about low earpiece volume.Its a software or hardware issue which Apple must rectify.

Yes especially after upgrading to iOS 11
After upgrading to 11.2.5 - I feel its better than the previous one. I am able to hear little clear than earlier.

I have tried that and several other things, but my iphone 6Splus volume is so low when on speaker, you can not hear it when it is next to your ear!
Same here I even ordered a new ear speaker and nothing cleaned the entire area and nothing . One way for apple to push people to Samsung lol

what is going on with Apple development team? This needs to stop now, Apple reputation at stake here.
I went in to the Apple Store in Easton, Columbus, OH and had my phone checked. It is a hardware issue, and no compensation was offered. Sad since I am still paying on it.
