I had a problem with extremely low volume on my Iphone 6 - SOLVED!.
Other functions like, speaker, bluetooth were OK.
The solution was a big surprise to myself - since I was sure it was SW or a setting somewhere.
I carefully cleaned the little slot in the glas in the frontside of the phone where the sound comes out in normal use. I used a little piece of cotton with a little water/soap for dishwashing - do not soak it in water - did this app 5 times. I then used alcohol - did this app 5 times.
I almost cannot believe the change it did ;o) I had to adjust the volume down again.
So in my case it wasn't SW or settings - but simply dirt (not visible to me) that had to be mechanically remowed.

It seems that iOS 11xxx is a disaster and is wrecking most iPhones somewhere or the other.
This is ********, same happened with my older model and now with my iphone 7 *** well! Are this the new method off outing older models by forcing people to buy new models like your battery scam?
My I phone 6s plus is ear volume is very low..!
I fixed it by removing the dust tuck in the speaker. Just use a dry brush and use your breath to humidify the dust while cleaning.
Tried all that it did not work.This is a glitch in the iOS 11 which is affecting the call volume
I have the same problem: settings are ok, whatsapp voice message is low. No way to increase by buttons and volume is already at max. I have ab iPhone 7. Last upgrade of iOS.
you can reset your phone and you will not have this problem until you upgrade the OS.
Tried that as well twice the problem persists.
Put it on speaker phone and reduce or increase volume.
I have an iPhone 6 with the same issue after the update :-/

Post IOS11 upgrade, my Iphone 6 plus hearing volume has really gone down. Begs a question - Do we upgrade IOS at all.
How do I downgrade my IOS?
Apple, please fix this.
After the 11.4 upgrade I thought the call volume will improve but now it has become worse on my iPhone 7.Apple is aware of this but they are keeping quite.
use speaker instead and adj volume accordingly.

That’s not a fix that’s a workaround so many isiPhones have been affected by this problem but there is no proper fix for this.
