How do I set up automatic import of edited versions of photos from my iphone?

Currently, photos from my iphone are automatically imported to Photos on my MacBook, but only the original, unedited version gets transferred. I would like to know how to set up my devices to make the edited version of the photo automatically transfer from my iPhone to my MacBook. Thank you!
