Reinstalling News in IOS 10.3.3

After turning off News notifications, the News icon was gone in the home screen.

The News app isn't listed in App Store on my iPhone or my cloud account.

I haven't been able to find the app store in iTunes 12.7.0.166 on PC, didn't have this problem prior to the updated version.

Hello stewartdw!

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. I see from your post that you are having trouble restoring the Apple News app to your iPhone. Let's see if I can point you in the right direction to get it back on to your device.

In this great resource we have called Remove built-in Apple apps from the Home screen on your iOS 10 device or Apple Watch , in order to restore an Apple-installed app, you must make sure to use the exact name of the app that was removed. The News app is listed as "Apple News".

Restore a built-in app that you removed

  1. On your iOS device, go to the App Store.
  2. Search for the app. Make sure that you use the exact name of the app. Find the correct name of built-in apps.
  3. Tap User uploaded file to restore the app.
  4. Wait for the app to restore, then open it from your Home screen.

If you have an Apple Watch, restoring an app to your iPhone also restores that app to your Apple Watch.

I hope this information helps you.

Kindest Regards

Strange that the results aren't the same, but when you scroll down do you not see it anywhere? This is what mine looks like:

User uploaded file

The first one on the list was the Wall Street Journal, followed by Apple News. What type of device are you using?

Also, check your Restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions), and make sure that you have News turned on under Allow if you have Restrictions turned on.

Cheers,

GB
