Exfat fat32 external mounting problem

Hey all.

I have 2 computers, both running 10.8.5. A macbook pro & a mini. I have a few external exfat & fat 32 HDDs that (recently) won't mount on the macbook, but mount just fine on the mini. So 2 computers, running the same OS, externals mount on one computer, but not the other. I'm thinking it's not the drives, but something with the macbook that I'm missing. Any ideas?

Thanks, Andrew

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

Hi Eric. I can see it in disk utility, but can't verify or repair. But again, I have a couple fat/exfat drives that won't mount on the mackbook, but mount fine on the mini. I'm really thinking there's something amiss in the mackbook os that's not allowing the fat/exfat to mount. Also, I have other externals, formatted mac os extended, that mount fine on my mackbook. I tried the terminal commands listed above, but none of them worked. "failed to mount." User uploaded file
