ITunes will not quit

Since installing the latest ITUNES update, the program will not quit. It appears to quit but then restarts itself. The only thing that reliably closes it is to restart windows. Help.

Another thought is that you have an iOS device connected to your computer that's triggering iTunes to restart. This can happen if you use your computer to charge your iPod, iPhone, or iPad.

This will happen when a dependency program is open causing it to relaunch immediately after you close it. You have to figure out what it is, such as mini lyrics or last fm, and close it before you close itunes.
