Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode) Driver is unavailable

Hi - my daughter has forgotten her password on an old Ipad (2012). I've connected to my laptop and can see the iPad but getting an Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode) Driver is unavailable.

Anyone help at all.

Hi. What version of iTunes do you have on the computer?

Depending on the version of iOS on the iPad, you may need iTunes 12.5, 12.6, or 12.7 (the current version).

If you already have the latest iTunes, try uninstalling it and re-installing it.
