Battery Full Alert on 6 Plus 10.3 - Annoying

I am really, REALLY ticked that my 6 Plus is suddenly alerting me with dings when my battery is fully charged, waking me in the middle of the night. This seems to have started with IOS 10.3 upgrade. I've tried furiously to turn it off but can find no way. It doesn't matter that my phone is on Do Not Disturb or silent.

Has this happened to anyone else? How to stop it?

Thanks.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 11.0.3, null

jmflynny,

A battery full alert is only available if you have some kind of Battery App installed. I recommend deleting the App because the normal iOS has native safeguards which prevent overcharging.

Edit: Jailbreaking could also be a possibility.

No app. It started happening after 10 was installed and has continued though I have 11.0.3. When the battery reaches full, it flashes back and forth between 100%-99%-100%-99% and dings, dings, dings, until I wake up and unplug it. It's really ticking me off!

What is "jailbreaking"?

That sounds more like the possibility of a bad charging cable. Try another cable, USB power adapter, or power outlet.

If, after exploring those options the iPhone still behaves in that manner, I would recommend that you take it in to an Apple Genius Bar for hardware/battery troubleshooting.

This is the definition of Jailbreaking.
