Can I exclude folders from being uploaded to iCloud drive?
In other words:
By default, iCloud uploads all files and folders in DOCUMENTS.
Is it possible to exclude one or more files or sub-folders?

Yes - you can rename the file or folder with either a .tmp or .nosync extension at the end. I'd recommend .nosync, since the OS will view .tmp as a temp file, and utilities which allow the deletion of temp files or automated cleanup might be an issue.

You would have to move the folders/items you want to exclude to another location outside the Documents folder.

Move the folders you don't want synced out of Documents. It will also send all items on your Desktop.
